Accommodation

Hotels, Self-serviced apartments and Residences

The city of Prato offers a large range of accommodation options. Many of these are within walking distance of the Monash University Prato Centre. In addition to Hotels, a number of other short-term accommodation options are available, including self-serviced apartments, 'residences' etc. Information on accommodation options in Prato may be found on the Centre website.

When booking your accommodation, always state that you are attending a conference at the Monash University Prato Centre, and let the Hotel know that you are eligible for the special rates reserved for visitors of the Monash University Prato Centre. The two most popular hotels are Hotel President and Art Hotel Milano (not to be confused with Art Hotel Museo or Art Hotel Miro' which are both further out from the center). At Art Hotel Milano, ask for a room with a view of the river.

All individual bookings must be booked directly with the accommodation provider. If bookings are made with online systems (such as booking.com or Airbnb), a higher rate will be charged.

WARNING / SCAM ALERT:

We have been made aware of fraudulent phone calls to participants by people who claim to be "brokers" for travel and accommodation arrangements. Please be aware that neither the Monash Prato Centre nor the organisers have requested any company or individual to undertake this activity on their behalf. Such phone calls should be ignored as they are fraudulent. Kindly adhere to the instructions given above to book your accommodation.
