to delete all the emails in one folder at once:
First, make absolutely sure you're in the right folder.
Then type "; a a d".
"Enable aggregate command set" must be checked to do this.
To store your password and automatically enter it: touch .pine.pwd
Then follow the prompts when you use pine.
to archive old mail:
Open the desired Folder.
Press semicolon ; for the select command.
You may Press A to select All (or press N to highlight only some mail).
Press A for the "apply command."
Press E to Export.
Enter a file name.
