Editing for the Web

Updating a table in FrontPage with data in a word table.

I found no way to do this directly.  Cutting and pasting the word cells into the FrontPage table places the entire table in one cell. The documentation suggests doing this one by one.  The workaround I found was

  1. Make a copy of the html file with the table that needs updating.
  2. Open this copy in Word.  Much of the html formatting is likely to be lost
  3. Paste copied cells from the word document into the table.
  4. Save
  5. Open saved file in FrontPage
  6. Copy updated table into first position of existing table and then delete existing data

Instructions on how to create a new table in FrontPage from data in a Word or Excel file can be found here.
