Mon, 04 Apr 2005 Mindful! received a donation of 68 computers and 44 monitors from a Hitachi Data Systems disaster recovery site that is closing down. The computers will be used for e.g. creating a lab for teaching children to use computers, create a basic web site. These computers were assembled by Australian Computer Recyclers in April 2000 and presumably ran Microsoft Windows 98. They have a ASUS P/I-P55T2P4 (REV. 3.10) (manual), motherboard, up to Pentium MMX 233 processor, 32 or 64 MB of RAM, ≤ 2 GB disk, SMC EtherCard Elite Ultra ISA Ethernet Adapter 8216C (RJ-45, BNC, AUI connectors). No sound card! AT keyboard, serial mouse, 40x CD-ROM. |
