A 60th Birthday Symposium celebrating the contributions of Doug Lin to the
theory of planet formation as well as galaxy formation and structure will be held
at Monash University's Prato Centre in Prato, Tuscany, Italy, 21-26 June 2009.
Doug's career has touched on all aspects of planet formation, and this meeting
aims to present an integrated picture with invited speakers discussing the history
of their topic, its current status and future prospects.

Topics will include:

. Galaxy formation
. Galactic and protoplanetary disk dynamics and evolution
. Structure formation in the interstellar medium
. Planetesimal dynamics
. Terrestrial planet formation
. Gas giant formation
. Planet-disk interaction
. Debris disks
. Hot super earths
. Star-planet interaction
. Planet composition and structure

While there will only be invited lectures, participants will have the opportunity to present
their current work in poster form together with a short powerpoint presentation.
