Robert studied Education and Music and subsequently for an MPhil in Education Psychology at Homerton College, Cambridge University. His MPhil thesis examined links between career-outset motivations and future career aspirations of trainee primary teachers in the UK. The research was part of the FIT-Choice project where data collection and analysis on Cambridge University samples is ongoing. More recently, he has returned to music and is now a second year PhD student in Music Psychology at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester UK, where he is working on an AHRC funded project entitled 'Interactive Performance for Musicians with a hearing impairment' in collaboration with researchers at the Acoustics Research Unit, University of Liverpool.
