PhD student positions available:

Our research program is at the nano-bio interface, which is a crossdisciplinary area of Chemistry, Materials Science, and Biology. Supported by Australian Research Council, we are looking for highly-motivated PhD candidates to join us. The positions are open for students with background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials science or Biological Engineering. The projects include synthesis of high-quality plasmonic nanoparticles, DNA conjugation and directed assembly, the thinnest possible nanoparticle superlattices, soft electronics, wearable sensors and targetted anticancer theranostics.

Undergraduate or Mater students with a strong desire to do creative work in a new and rapidly growing field are strongly encouraged to apply. For the candidates who are interested in our programm, please send inquiries along with a detailed CV, names and contact information of three references to Professor Wenlong Cheng (wenlong.cheng@monash.edu). Experiences in nanomaterials, ultrafiltration, nucleic acids, surface chemistry, and nanofabrication, drug delivery is a plus.
