- ensuring that the WWW pages originating within their group meet the requirements of various copyright and communication acts, and the publication guidelines promulgated from time to time by the University.
- liaising with the University Webmaster, faculty registrars and records administrators to ensure that appropriate authorisations and records are maintained.

Naming Web Servers
The idea is to make the URLs as logical and as short as we can.
The general form for web servers should be:
- For stand-alone departmental servers
- http://www.domain.monash.edu.au/
http://www-dept.domain.monash.edu.au/
- For example
- http://www.fcit.monash.edu.au/
http://www-ecse.eng.monash.edu.au/
- For departments using the central server
- http://www.monash.du.au/dept_name/
- For example
- http://www.monash.edu.au/arts/
- http://www.monash.edu.au/marketing/
The group will support the webmaster role and provide services such as:
