Brief Biography

Research Interests

1.  Computational intelligence

  • Artificial neural network
  • Evolutionary Optimisation
  • Fuzzy system
  • Bayesian network
  • Agent based modeling
  • Data mining

2.      Bioinformatics

  • System Biology: Genetic network modeling with focus on

    a) S-system Models
    b) Dynamic Bayesian network
    c) State Space Approach
  • Proteomics:  Protein structure prediction with focus on
        - Low Resolution protein models

    a) Evolutionary Optimisation (e.g. genetic,memetic etc)
    b) Improving Hydrophobic-Hydrophilic (HP) model representation (e.g. hHPNX)
We also plan to soon work in developing high resolution 'all atom" protein models for transmembrane proteins.

3.    Carbon emission trading

  • Agent based game theoretic approach for modeling carbon emission trading (emerging research)

4.    Grid computing  for bioinformatics
