It's Too Slow

Dave Faulkner

Well I have to wonder
About the stars I'm under
How they won't make up their minds
And if this ain't dreamin'
Then I might run screamin'
To the nearest comprimise
There's one thing I know

It's too slow and don't I know
And if I don't get there, don't you say
"I told you so, I told you so"

Here's a frank admission
I'm in no position
To be telling you all your crimes
But if I must blame someone
For what's been left undone
Then I might find I'm the first in line.

It's too slow and don't I know
And if I don't get there, don't you say
"I told you so, I told you so"

It's too slow and don't I know
And if I don't get there, don't you say
"I told you so, I told you so"
I don't want to hear it
Coz I can't keep a secret
I'll let the whole world know

But at least I'm moving
Things might start improving
Or else I might learn to improvise
But if it makes a difference
I will go the distance
Even if I don't win first prize

It's too slow and don't I know
And if I don't get there, don't you say
"I told you so, I told you so"
