ABOUT MEI'm interested in all aspects of information system security and e-health tools and their contribution to clinical workflow and patient care outcomes. I am the Academic Convenor of the Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medical Science at Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences at Monash University. Academic oversight of students enrolled for a BMedSc(Hons) degree is challenging but fun. I'm fascinated by the research programs on which they work. My postgraduate teaching has covered a range of subjects from Contemporary Issues in Health Informatics to Electronic Health Records, Health Information Systems Management, Computer Games and Applications for Health and Wellbeing and Research Methods. Useful sources of information on health information security and privacy are widely scattered. The web page published by the Australian Privacy Foundation (APF) is a notable exception and I chair their Health Sub Committee too. I love the advocacy work I do with the APF. I also chair the Membership Sub Committee of the Australasian College of Health Informatics (ACHI). ACHI is the peak Australasian health informatics body. I have a LinkedIn profile and am a proud member of the ACHI group there if you'd like to join us. My professional memberships include Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) and the Australian Health Informatics Education Council (AHIEC) As a member of the Mobile Health Research Group (MHRG), I work closely with colleagues from the Faculty of Information Technology.
