education

After completing my final year of school I began a degree in music performance at the Victorian College of the Arts (which has since become part of Melbourne University). Despite my passion for classical guitar I was unable to complete the degree due to an injury to one of my fingers.

After discontinuing the music course I enrolled in the double degree bachelor of mechatronic engineering and bachelor of science at Monash University. During my third year I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Daniel Price writing astrophysical simulations and visualising the generated data. This work lead to me being awarded the MURPA scholarship, which allowed me to spend a summer semester in California studying at the University of California, San Diego.

After completing the science component of my undergraduate degree, majoring in mathematics and computer science, I deferred the completion of the engineering component to allow me to complete an honours degree in computer science.
