Instructions and advice for new students
Welcome to the Monash gravity group!
1. If you're joining to work on a LIGO project, please begin working through these instructions for getting started with LIGO.
2. Please join us for weekly group meetings.
At the time of writing, these are on Wednesdays at 3:00 PM in the JL Williams room.
The meetings are informal.
It's helpful to think about what you have been working on since the last meeting so you can give a brief update on what you have been doing.
3. I recommend that you create a web page for yourself.
4. I reccomend that you start attending colloquia and seminars.
5. If you can get a desk near the other astro students, this is a great way to get a sense of community.
