Winston Churchill Fellowship: David recently won a 2009 Winston Churchill Fellowship. This fellowship is a national competitive grant for overseas research which cannot be undertaken within Australia and can benefit Australia. He was one of just 21 people awarded this fellowship in Victoria, out of over 340 Victorian applicants.
Monash Research Accelerator Program: David was a Monash University Research Accelerator recipient for the period of 2010-2012. This is a competitive system within the university aimed to recognise and reward Level B and C staff performing highly in research and to accelerate the career development of mid-career academics.
