[NEWS August 2022] Our Monash Blockchain Technology Centre is one of the ten winners around the world for the multi-million-dollars Algorand Centre of Excellence Program! We are the only Australian team, with 9 universities and research institutes working together towards the Sustainability Informatics for the Pacific!

[NEWS January 2022] Our Monash Blockchain Technology Centre have been awarded the prestigious Discovery Project (DP220101234) from the Australian Research Council (ARC). The title is “Scalable & Accountable Privacy-Preserving Blockchain with Enhanced Security”! Me, Ron Steinfeld, Jiangshan Yu and Shifeng Sun are the investigators of this project.

[NEWS January 2022] I am honoured to serve as the Senior Associate Editor of the new journal: ACM Journal on Distributed Ledger Technologies: Research and Practice! Welcome to submit papers or propose some Special Issues there!

[NEWS January 2021] The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), one of the top 50 universities in the world, has officially announced the formation of the new Global Alumni Advisory Board. I am honoured to be invited to join this Board. There are 12 members in the Board, including Norman Chan Tak-Lam, the ex-Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (from 2009 to 2019). [NEWS 2017] Monash and Collinstar sign multi-million dollar agreement to develop blockchain cryptocurrency (Hcash) and a joint-lab between Monash, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Collinstar has been established! I am the co-director of this lab! (I am honoured to be placed as the first cover page of Monash website!) (The Australian Report page1, page2)

[NEWS 2017] I will be one of the invited speakers in ProvSec2017, giving a speech about ring signature in related to blockchain!

[NEWS 2017] I am invited to join the Advisory Board of a new cryptocurrency – Hcash!

[Story of Linkable Ring Signature – Me – Monero] My PhD thesis (backed to 2004) is about Linkable Ring Signature. I am the founder of this notion! At that time, there was no commercial application at all. Until one day (in 2016), when I googled “Application of (linkable) ring signature”, suddenly came up the word “Monero”. By then, I know this cryptocurrency (currently ranked #10) deploys my PhD thesis as their core technology (they call it RingCT)!!! (They didn’t tell me, didn’t acknowledge me, and of course didn’t give me any reward!) But at least I know my PhD thesis did contain value! How much is the value? Take a look here! (around US$1.5 billion)! But I have to say, I have nothing affiliated to Monero. Currently I’m working towards a new cryptocurrency Hcash instead!
